Position Web Developer - JSP / PHP

Position Senior Travel Software Engineer
Job Description Airtrade International Inc. / vayama is looking to hire a Senior Travel Software Engineer. This person should have significant experience in working in the travel and transport industry with either: a GDS, an online travel agency, an airline, or travel technology company. The Senior Travel Software Engineer will be assigned projects related to the shopping, sale and processing of travel reservations. This will involve developing interfaces to travel suppliers, creating automated routines to process reservations, construction of rules systems and other systems related to travel. This position will report to our Development Manager and is based in Mountain View, CA.

Qualifications / Requirements Note: Please make sure that you have the appropriate qualifications before applying. We will only accept candidates with previous travel industry experience.

  • Minimum BS in computer science or related. MS preferred
  • 5+ years developing software in the travel or airline industry
  • Experience with either java, .net, or php development
  • Experience with one or multiple GDS systems (Amadeus / Worldspan preferred)
  • Experience implementing GDS APIs
  • Strong knowledge of PNRs, booking process, ticketing process, Q/A, and other reservation flows
  • Mastery of javascript (we utilize a js-based travel scripting language)
  • Strong XML / XML Stylesheet abilities
  • Experience with Farelogix FLX or PASS XX1 a plus
  • Experience with Dreamweaver or other HTML editor
Job Responsibilities
  • Become a senior member of the Airtrade development team working on travel related systems and processes
  • Complete a variety of travel software design and development tasks
  • Work on GDS and direct connect integration projects
  • Develop complex rules and automated procedures in our travel middleware environment
  • Develop new travel features to be exposed in our websites (dynamic packaging, calendar searches, etc.)
Compensation / Benefits
  • Salary $70,000-$100,000 depending upon experience
